Josh Gentry Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded each year to two bright, young freshman entering the UC College of Engineering and Applied Science. Josh was a passionate, hardworking engineer, and we believe remembering him in this way will help future engineers focus on their talents and remember each day is a gift.

2025 Scholarship Recipients
Joey Karacia
Background: Third Year Student at the University of Cincinnati. Grew up in Kettering, Ohio, a smaller city just outside of Dayton. Excelled in Math and Sciences before college. Eager to learn more and test that knowledge.
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Pastimes: Working out, spending time with friends around campus, intramural soccer, and participating in the Fluid Power Club at UC

Background: Fourth-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. President of UC's chapter of the Society of American Military Engineers 2024-2025.
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Pastimes: Swim coaching for the Powell Crosley Jr Tigersharks
